CD-R Duplication Instructions
At CD Solutions we differentiate between mass
replication, which is a plastic injection process, and CD-R
copying, which is using a laser to alter a blank
disc. We call the plastic
injection process "replication", and we call the
CD-R process "duplication". CD-R discs are also
known as "one-off" discs by those of us that have been
in the industry a while. You may wonder.... what
is a "one-off"?
If you're looking for blank media,
go here. If you're looking for mass
replication, go here.
Follow these instructions to place your duplication
order with us and get it processed!
- Get your data together on a type of portable media, like
CD-R, Jaz, Zip. etc...
- Print off a duplication order
form and fill it out in its entirety. Forms that
aren't completed will delay the order and possibly keep you
from getting your discs when you need them.
- Print off a Liability
declaration form and fill it out in its entirety.
This form must be filled out before we will do any
duplication/replication job.
- Send us the two forms, along with your source data, with
any artwork (if needed) that you want to be put on the disc
via thermal inkjet print to the address listed
below. The artwork should be in BMP, JPEG
, or TIF format at 600 dpi. Also, it may be easier for
us to retype text in our printing application so if you
would like for us to do that just make sure you send us a
sample of what it looks like with the font properties
listed. (Size, font style, etc...) Call us
for information about labeling and we'll tell you what we
need for this labeling process.
- We produce our CD-R's on a same day or one day turn in
most cases.
