Image MASSter Solo 3 IT

ImageMASSter Solo-3 IT is a High Speed Data Duplication tool that integrates the latest advanced features in data imaging. Capable of copying data from IDE and laptop drives, Serial ATA and SCSI drives as well as Flash Cards. With the integrated Link MASSter Option you can copy data from unopened computers using the FireWire or USB2 interface. The source's hard drive is write protected and you can copy data to 2 targets hard drives simultaneously

 STANDARD FEATURES

MD5 and CRC32 Hashing:  Hashing can be performed during the data copy operation.  It is supported in the sector by sector copy mode only. 

Touch Screen User Interface:  The unit has and advanced touch screen as well as a programmed keyboard which provides ease of use.

High Speed Operation:  Data copied at transfer rates that exceed 3GB/min.

Built in Write Protection:  Source's Data protected with built in write protection.

Firewire and USB 2.0 Interface:  Copy data without opening the Notebook or PC or safely preview the Source's drive while connected to the Solo-3's write protected port.

Copy to Two target drives at the same time:  Copy to two drives with no speed reduction in the write.

Multiple Copy Methods:  Copy data using sector-by-sector copy mode, or using Intelligent Copy Mode which only copies allocated files.

WipeOut:  Sanitize drives at 3GB/min.

Multiple Media Support:  Supports data transfer between all types of hard drives as well as flash media devices.  (SCSI drives are supported with optional hardware)

Upgradable:  Software and Firmware upgrades performed using the supplied Compact Flash Card.  

SOFTWARE FEATURES

Device Configuration Overlay Option
DCO can be used to hide and protect a portion of the drive’s area from the operating system and file system.  If DCO is detected on a Source's drive, the IM Solo-3 IT's copy operation will copy the DCO hidden sectors.

Host Protected Area Option
An HPA area may exist on a drive, hiding a certain portion of the drive’s contents from the operating system and file system.  If an HPA area exists on a Source's drive, the IM Solo-3 IT's copy operation will detect and copy data from the HPA area.

Wipeout DoD Option
WipeOut was designed to meet the U.S. Department of Defense specification DOD 5220-22M regarding the sanitization of hard disk drive data.  Three iterations are performed to completely erase data and the contents of a hard disk drive.  Each iteration makes two write passes over the entire drive.

LinkMASSter Application
The LinkMASSter application, combined with the unit’s built-in FireWire/USB interface, provides a fast and effective solution to acquire data from a Source's unopened PC or Notebook to a Target's drive connected on the IM Solo-3 IT unit.

MultiMASSter Option
The MultiMASSter  option allows the user to store up to 24 s/w loads on a single master drive, eliminating or reducing the need for multiple master drives.

Host Protected Area (HPA) Option

The Image MASSter Solo-2 Professional unit supports copying HPA configured source drives when the HPA option is installed. HPA is defined as a reserved area for data storage outside the normal operating file system. This area is hidden from the operating system and file system, and is normally used for specialized applications. Systems may wish to store configuration data or save memory to the HDD device in a location that the operating systems cannot change. If an HPA area exists on a source drive, the Image MASSter Solo-2 Professional copy operation will configure the target HDD with a similar HPA area.

Device Configuration Overlay (DCO) Option

The Image MASSter Solo-2 Professional unit supports copying DCO configured source drives when the DCO option are installed. DCO allows systems to modify the apparent features provided by a HDD device. It provides a set of commands that allow a utility program to modify some of the commands, modes, and feature sets reported as supported by the HDD. It can be used to hide a portion of the HDD's capacity from being viewed by the operating system and file system. If DCO is detected on the source drive, the Image MASSter Solo-2 professional copy operation will configure the target HDD with similar DCO settings.
